Nanny Goat Vineyard – Central Otago Pinot Noir    2014

This critically acclaimed wine from Central Otago has received excellent reviews from critics such as James Suckling, and is also a winner of the Air New Zealand Wine Awards. With the trademark Central Otago black cherry fruit, and an appealing foresty edge, this is a deeply coloured, mouthfilling, supple red with generous cherry, plum and spice flavours. Showing good freshness and vigour, its gently seasoned with oak, in a savoury, complex style with a rich, smooth finish.

Dog Point – Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc    2014

A partnership between viticulturalist Ivan Sutherland and winemaker James Healy, both spent many years with Cloudy Bay before leaving to make their own wine in the Wairau Valley. Abundant sunshine, low rainfall and cool autumn nights make for a long grape growing season, enabling the slow evolution of a rich array of vibrant fruit flavours. The bouquet displays a refreshingly intense concentration of citrus, tropical fruits and fragrant fresh summer herbs, underpinned by an appealing degree of minerality. In the mouth this is a generous full bodied wine displaying an excellent balance of fruit and acidity with a fine citrus infused finish.

Stoneleigh - Rapaura Pinot Noir          2013

Stoneleigh Vineyard is situated in the heart of the Rapaura area on the northern side of the Wairau Valley in Marlborough. This single vineyard wine is a great expression of a rich and powerful Pinot Noir evolved from the stones it’s grown on. Vibrant cherry red colour leads to an expressive bouquet of red fruits, florals, spice and a touch of charcuterie; the palate is ebullient and engaging, showing crunchy acidity, silky tannins and a long and even palate, opening up with unexpected layers of complexity

Mt. Difficulty - Bannockburn Sauvignon Blanc                2014

Mt. Difficulty is one of the most prized and respected wine producers in New Zealand. The Estate is composed of 6 vineyards in the picturesque Bannockburn sub-region of Central Otago. 2014 was a late ripening season resulting in aromatics of lemongrass and gooseberry. Citrus zest and gooseberry compete with savoury herbs before moving into a linear flowing mid-palate. Fat and rich with a creamy mouth feel balancing the crispy acidity. Long finish. Quite distinct from the typical Marlborough style.

Oyster Bay - Hawkes Bay Merlot                  2014

The philosophy of Oyster Bay is to produce fine, distinctly regional wines that are elegant and assertive with glorious fruit flavours. Spice and berry fruit on the nose, this Merlot dishes out a persistent and focused stream of racy cranberry, zesty pie cherry and ripe cranberry flavour melding perfectly with hints of tannin and savoury herbs. It’s medium weight and a nicely textured Merlot.

Wither Hills - Sauvignon Blanc   2005

Brilliant lemon-lime colour, vibrant, bright, fresh, herbal, gooseberry. Both fresh and refreshing, the mouth-filling herbal palate enhances the excellent fruit structure and length of this wine. Displaying intense gooseberry and capsicum characters, the lingering soft flavours provide a beautifully ripe and powerful wine with an abundance of richness, coupled with a lingering harmonious finish.

Overstone – Pinot Noir  2014

Overstone Pinot Noir has been a revelation in recent vintages. Continually out 'tasting' wines much higher in price points. Concentrated black cherry and dark berry aromas which follow through to the palate where dark berryfruit and cherry flavours are supported by soft tannins. This is a ripe and deeply coloured wine, designed for early drinking but capable of cellaring for many years.

Oyster Bay - Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc            2014

The philosophy of Oyster Bay is to produce fine, distinctly regional wines that are elegant and assertive with glorious fruit flavours. Pale straw green in colour with brilliant clarity. Zesty and aromatic with lots of lively, penetrating fruit characters. A concentration of tropical and gooseberry flavours with an abundant bouquet, it is a wine that is always crisp, elegant and refreshing.

Villa Maria - Cellar Selection Sauvignon Blanc    2007

A beautifully intense and lively wine, overflowing with aromas of ripe gooseberry, melon and passionfruit with hints of grapefruit, lime and nettles. The wine is mouthfilling and juicy with vibrant fruit and fantastic mid palate richness and weight, finishing rich and racy with excellent length and crispness.
